Giving to Saint Simons Christian School

Saint Simons Christian School is non-profit, 501(c)3, independent Christian school. Like most independent, private schools, we rely on the generosity of our supporters to provide an exceptional experience that far exceeds the actual cost of tuition.

The Fruit of Generosity

Our continuing success is a testimony to the committed families, faculty, volunteers, and donors who have invested in the ministry of SSCS over the last two decades. We are grateful to the faithful supporters who have partnered with us.

Ways to Give

Georgia Qualified Education Expense Tax Credit Program

Claim Dollar-for-Dollar Tax Credits on Your Georgia Income Tax for Scholarship Donations to SSCS

Decide how your state tax dollars are spent. Under Georgia's Qualified Education Expense Tax Credit Program, you or your business can allocate Georgia tax dollars to SSCS and claim dollar-for-dollar tax credits on your Georgia income tax for scholarship donations made through a qualified SSO, up to the program’s limits and your tax liability.  Since its inception, SSCS has received over 800,000 dollars through the Georgia QEE Tax Credit Program allowing us to fund scholarships for qualified students who might not otherwise be able to attend private school.

Build A Legacy
The Opportunity

In July 2009, SSCS moved from the north end of St. Simons Island to an accessible, central location and began leasing a 9,000 square foot building on three acres. Three portable buildings were moved from the school's previous location and used for cafeteria, meeting space, middle school classrooms, and restrooms. The school purchased the leased property in 2013.

Growth and Need

Since becoming an independent school in 2007, SSCS has doubled in enrollment. While this is a great problem to have, our student body has outgrown the current facilities, including the three portable buildings.

SSCS is launching the BUILDING A LEGACY capital campaign to fund the construction of a multi-purpose building:

  • Three middle school classrooms, including an expanded science room for labs
  • A Great room for a cafeteria, school assemblies, indoor P.E., and other school actvities
  • Kitchen for lunch service

TOTAL GOAL........................$900,000

The Challenge

Anonymous donors have agreed to match, dollar-for-dollar, the first $300,000 in donations made to the BUILDING A LEGACY campaign in 2017.

The Legacy

Join us in making a difference for the generations to come. Prayerfully consider making a pledge as we BUILD A LEGACY together.

Annual Fund

Each year, SSCS makes an appeal to our supporters to fund specific areas of need or growth that require funds outside of normal operations. Please consider contributing to SSCS before year’s end.
