Promoting the Private School Tuition Tax Credit and Supporting SSCS
The Private School Tuition Tax Credit (House Bill 1133) provides excellent opportunities for all tax payers in Georgia. We strongly encourage you to promote this to your fiends and family. This law enables them to support private schools near them, and we hope they consider making a contribution to Saint Simons Christian School.
Suggestions for promoting this to your friends and families:
1. Educate Yourself – Take time to read our two-page summary of this program, read the law, look at the state Department of Education website, and read the law overview provided by the Center for an Educated Georgia. Talk with our Headmaster, Karl Graustein to learn more about this excellent opportunity.
2. Invite Karl Graustein to Join the Conversation – Karl would be glad to assist you as you seek to explain the Private School Tuition Tax Credit to friends or family. Talk with him or pass on contact information to him so he can follow up. He is ready to guide you or your friends through the donation process.
3. Point People to www.sschristianschool.com – We have designed these pages to provide the information anyone would need to learn more about this law and making a donation to SSCS. You can also forward them the link to our two-pages summary of the tax credit program.
4. Consider Prospective Families – Do you know of any families that would love to attend SSCS but cannot afford it? Please have them contact our Headmaster, Karl Graustein, and encourage them to apply for financial assistance.
5. Talk to Family Members – Do you have any relatives that pay Georgia state income taxes? Be sure to tell them about the state tax credit they can earn when they make a donation to SSCS.
6. Church Friends – Be sure to tell your friends at church of the tax credit they can earn while supporting Christian education and the mission of SSCS.
